We are giving away 10 copies of Andrew Baker's book 'Cake' by 1pm tomorrow!

The lovely team at Mudlark, part of the Harper Collins publishing empire, have very kindly given us 10 copies of this wonderful book by Andrew Baker called 'CAKE A slice of British Life', in which he tells the fascinating stories behind some of our most famous and best loved British cakes in his entertaining style. It is part homage to cake recipes, part history lesson and part travelog as he attempts to eat each cake in either its original founding location or somewhere suitably apt.

So why are you giving away 10 copies of this book we hear you ask...well, that is because our Chocolate Biscuit Cake is one of the cakes featured! Andrew had included us in his previous chocolate book (again a travelog of chocolate companies around the UK - we were the Dorset chapter!) & he remembered our chocolate biscuit cake being made with Rich Tea Biscuits...just as the late Queen liked her biscuit cake. So he got in touch and hey presto, he includes both our recipe and a hilarious section in the chocolate cake chapter in which he takes a slice on a very entertaining journey to Windsor Castle to eat it in a suitably regal setting to pay homage to the late Queen.
