As featured in Andrew Baker's book ' Cake - A Slice of British life' (published September 2023). Find out more about this wonderful book, and our inclusion in it, by clicking here to read our blog.
Made fresh in our Dorset Kitchen, you won’t be able to help but dive right into our Chocolate Biscuit Cake - perfect for sharing with friends and family. A smaller version of our best selling Biscuit Cake logs and festive Biscuit Cake wreaths, our bakers Kev and Em blend our award-winning signature 72% Ecuador single estate chocolate with crushed, crunchy rich tea biscuits (fun fact - the late Queen preferred her chocolate biscuit cakes made with rich tea biscuits too and that is why we are featured in Andrew's brilliant book!), raisins and dried cherries.
They then top off the biscuit cake with a thick layer of our award-winning signature 47% Colombia origin milk chocolate and hatches of more dark chocolate as a final decorative flourish. We send our bakes out uncut in letterbox-friendly cardboard boxes, so you can cut them into as many or as few slices to suit you.
Our top tip is to warm a knife under running hot water, dry it and then cut the cake into your preferred slices configuration - the hot knife will help cut clean slices.
When you order your Chocolate Biscuit Cakes, it will be made in our Dorset Kitchen, and posted on a first class delivery.

Chococo's COCOA powered Promise...
This is chocolate for change. Slave-free, palm oil-free, less sugar, directly traded, totally sustainable and utterly equitable, not only is our chocolate officially delicious, it’s choc full of soul too. We don’t believe anyone else can match our COCOA powered promise…
Colourful
We’re a kaleidoscope of flavour and colour. Truly fine chocolates and as the Evening Standard once put it, “each one is like a miniature piece of art”. In 2024, we asked customers to describe our boxes, bars, novelty shapes, brownies and hot chocolate… the most common words were “innovative”, “delicious”, “ethical”, and “fun”.
Original
We’ve been handcrafting in the UK since 2002 and will always do so. We believe we were one of the first, if not the first, UK artisan chocolatier to pioneer making truly fresh chocolates using locally sourced seasonal ingredients. We’re an independent brand and believe that has always helped us produce chocolate with soul.
Conscious
We’re proud to work with our direct trade partners to produce chocolate that adds value to the local economy, is slave-free, palm-oil free, high in cocoa, low in sugar, and completely sustainable. 100% of our packaging is plastic-free and either recyclable or compostable too, and we support sustainability projects across the world.
Open
We strive to make the world of chocolate more open, opening up knowledge on cocoa and sugar, opening up opportunities for our partners, and opening up flavours for our customers with new products at prices that we aim to keep as low as possible, which only change when our supply and labour costs change significantly.
Award-winning
We’ve won 128 national and international fine food awards so far, with 77 Great Taste Awards including in 2023 for our signature milk and dark chocolates. We only enter awards that are blind judged, to benchmark ourselves, learn from the feedback of judges, and use those learnings to constantly improve.
