Born in Dorset in 2002, we are a proudly independent artisan chocolate brand single minded in our mission to tantalise the taste buds of our customers with the most deliciously uplifting fine chocolate experience in the UK. We are also a principled bunch who care about doing the right thing.
Apart from our passion for using fresh, local, seasonal ingredients and fine direct trade single origin chocolate (which is palm oil-free of course) to create delightfully surprising tastes (which has resulted in us winning 142 national & international fine food awards to date), what is especially unique about us is that we celebrate fine chocolate in all its forms. We also make our own gelato, hot chocolate & chocolate biscuit cakes, as we want our customers to discover the joy of tasting truly fine chocolate, whichever format they choose. Whilst we may be a small indie brand based in Dorset, we care about the bigger picture and always have. We were ahead of the curve back in 2002 when we launched our selection boxes without any plastic inserts to hold the chocolates in place. Today, 100% of our packaging is plastic-free and is either compostable or recyclable. On a more global scale, we are supporting several marine conservation and reforestation projects in the UK & Sumatra.
Every award below started the same way: two people, a small kitchen in Dorset, and fresh cream from a farm down the road. Twenty-three years and 142 awards later, we still make everything by hand in small batches.
