The Classic version of our biscuit cake is featured in Andrew Baker's Book 'Cake - A Slice of British life' (2023). To find out more about this wonderful book and how our biscuit cake recipe came to be included, click here to read our blog.
Made fresh daily in our Dorset bakery, this Ginger Biscuit Cake Tray Bake is a tangy, crunchy chocolatey ginger treat to share!
With crunchy rich ginger biscuits, tangy crystallised ginger pieces and our award-winning deliciously rich, signature dark chocolate from Ecuador, it is the perfect treat for any ginger lover. it is also suitable for anyone following a vegan lifestyle who wants to enjoy a chocolate treat without dairy. This is a 100% plant-based product as we use a vegan alternative to butter in this recipe, but with the caveat that we do work with milk in the same room, so it may contain traces.
We send our bakes out uncut in a letterbox-friendly postal box, so you can cut them into as many or as few slices as you prefer. When you order your Biscuit Cakes, it will be made fresh and posted on the day on a first class delivery. Top tip from us is to warm a knife under hot running water, dry it and then cut your biscuit cake into slices to suit - the hot knife will help give you nice clean slices.

Chococo's COCOA powered Promise...
This is chocolate for change. Slave-free, palm oil-free, less sugar, directly traded, totally sustainable and utterly equitable, not only is our chocolate officially delicious, it’s choc full of soul too. We don’t believe anyone else can match our COCOA powered promise…
Colourful
We’re a kaleidoscope of flavour and colour. Truly fine chocolates and as the Evening Standard once put it, “each one is like a miniature piece of art”. In 2024, we asked customers to describe our boxes, bars, novelty shapes, brownies and hot chocolate… the most common words were “innovative”, “delicious”, “ethical”, and “fun”.
Original
We’ve been handcrafting in the UK since 2002 and will always do so. We believe we were one of the first, if not the first, UK artisan chocolatier to pioneer making truly fresh chocolates using locally sourced seasonal ingredients. We’re an independent brand and believe that has always helped us produce chocolate with soul.
Conscious
We’re proud to work with our direct trade partners to produce chocolate that adds value to the local economy, is slave-free, palm-oil free, high in cocoa, low in sugar, and completely sustainable. 100% of our packaging is plastic-free and either recyclable or compostable too, and we support sustainability projects across the world.
Open
We strive to make the world of chocolate more open, opening up knowledge on cocoa and sugar, opening up opportunities for our partners, and opening up flavours for our customers with new products at prices that we aim to keep as low as possible, which only change when our supply and labour costs change significantly.
Award-winning
We’ve won 128 national and international fine food awards so far, with 77 Great Taste Awards including in 2023 for our signature milk and dark chocolates. We only enter awards that are blind judged, to benchmark ourselves, learn from the feedback of judges, and use those learnings to constantly improve.
