Founders Claire & Andy here with an update as of April 1st 2020
Co-founder Claire here with an update - Andy + I were back in our chocolate kitchen making eggs until late last night and will be doing the same again today to try to keep up with Easter demand.
It's really tough at the moment as we have lost most of our chocolatier team to isolation and, as the safety of our team is our number 1 priority, we are operating extreme social distancing measures for those who are coming in to process, pack and despatch orders. So please bear with us - we are doing what we can, but these are definitely not normal times and we can't make eggs that fast by hand without our usual fantastic team on-site working at full tilt as they would be at this point before Easter normally.
We didn't have a warehouse filled with stock before this crisis began because, as you probably know, we craft all our chocolates fresh in small batches and making by hand means people - our kitchen usually has 6 chocolatiers working in it, but even that would be too many given the constraints we live in now. So we are sorry if anyone is disappointed at this late stage before Easter to find that most of our eggs are now sold out, we can only do what we can do!
We are still taking orders online, but you will find more of our regular items than Easter on our site now to be honest, and we are also taking orders for local delivery around Swanage, Wareham + surrounding villages as part of the Swanage Indies Delivery Service.
Our local customers are lucky as we do have our cornstarch cello-wrapped larger Easter eggs still available for local delivery as they are too fragile to post!
