Hello, co-founder Claire here to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has ordered online from us. We have been overwhelmed with orders, especially in the last few days, and so we have now closed our order book for pre-Christmas delivery of physical items.
We are now fully focused on making & packing items to go into the Royal Mail system by end of this week which should give everything time to arrive before Christmas. It will also allow us to focus on keeping our four shops as well stocked as we can manage at this stage for this last week before Christmas.
We are very aware that Royal Mail is struggling to keep up with the huge growth in the number of parcels being despatched this year and we do not want to keep taking orders for posting next week that risk not being delivered in time, even if you pay more for premium delivery options. I am sure you would agree that life is stressful enough as it is without that worry! This does mean that ironically, for some of you, your orders may arrive sooner than you are expecting - please don't shout at us if that happens, please just be happy that they have arrived in time for the Christmas feast! Please be aware that our fresh Christmas Selection Boxes & Christmas Cascades are designed to be eaten fresh and enjoyed over Christmas, not saved for the new year.
However, if you missed our 16th December order deadline, you can still buy our new E-Gift Cards, that are emailed to you, or the recipient, for them to choose chocolates of their choice in the new year, and Subscriptions, which will be in the form of a downloadable gift certificate that you can give to the recipient for their subscription to start in January. Phew - Christmas gift crisis avoided!
If you are able to visit any of our Chocolate Houses in Swanage, Winchester, Exeter or Horsham, we are doing deliveries today & tomorrow, ready for what is usually their busiest weekend of the year, and again at the beginning of next week with pre-packed Christmas Selection Boxes and as wide a selection of our Christmas gifts as we can at this late stage, given the constraints we are now facing sourcing ingredients or replacing packaging.
Given our shops will be stocked with the best range we can supply them with, we are no longer offering a Click & Collect service before Christmas. If you have any specific requests, can you call your local Chocolate House direct to discuss an order. Otherwise, please just visit the store and buy what you can see infront of you!
Our Chocolate Houses will be open every day until Christmas Eve and all are operating extended opening hours. Click here to view opening times (& phone numbers) for each store, but please be aware that they also open slightly earlier and close earlier on Christmas Eve. Exeter will close at 2pm and the others at 3pm. They will re-open again on 27th December.
Our wonderful team of chocolatiers, packing & despatch folk here at Chococo HQ in Wareham in Dorset are all exhausted after such an intense Christmas season and once we have completed the final deliveries to the shops next week, they will be taking a break over the Christmas holidays, so the first available delivery dates for physical online gift items is now early January 2021.
