Update about our online mail order service

Hi everyone,
Co-founder Claire here just to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has ordered our chocolates for nationwide delivery recently. The team here at Chococo HQ in Wareham, Dorset are working their socks off to get all orders out as quickly as possible on receipt, but given the Covid restrictions we are operating under which is restricting the number of people who can work safely in our chocolate kitchen & packing rooms at once, sometimes items may be a little slower to get out of our door.

Our new website seems to be working for most of you but we are making tweaks to improve the checkout process to make it as clear as possible for folk who may not be used to ordering online. We are getting a few queries about some elements of our service and whilst they are all listed in our FAQs page, I thought I might just cover off some here too:

We are not currently able to offer a guaranteed next day delivery service - we do offer tracked 1st class which is usually pretty quick but it is not guaranteed to arrive the next day, so please bear with Royal Mail, they are working as hard as they can at the moment too! If you want to select a future delivery date, you choose the 'Preferred day' option of our various delivery options and a calendar pops up underneath from which you can select your preferred future weekday delivery date. Please be aware that this too is not guaranteed though!

We do not send any invoice or any delivery note with items that show the price of the item as we are fully aware that many of you are posting chocolates as gifts, so don't worry, they wont know how much you spent, unless of course, they visit our site!

You can add a free gift message as with our previous website - just click to add the 'gift message' under the payment section.

If you order one of our 'Fresh Chococo Selection Boxes' in large or medium for standard or 1st class delivery, we will despatch it as soon as we can after receipt of your order - if you are planning to eat them within the next 2-3 weeks, great, but if you are planning to save them for Christmas, given they contain fresh chocolates with a short shelf life, they will not last until then! In that instance, we would recommend you select our Fresh Christmas Selection Boxes which will not be delivered until 15th December (that is the first delivery date that the website will allow you to receive them) and will contain freshly handmade chocolates for you to enjoy over the Christmas holidays. We do make it clear on the pages of all our fresh selection boxes that they have a short shelf life as they contain fresh chocolates - we fully accept that this is quite different to chocolates made by most other UK chocolatiers, but that is what we do & have done since we launched back in 2002!

Finally, given the constraints we are operating under, we would be hugely grateful if you could double check your order details before confirming the order as it is harder than usual for us to make changes to orders once they are placed -we are still a very small team!
