Update on the Open status of our Chocolate Houses on March 3rd
UPDATE FOR SAT 3rd March:
We are all back to normal folks - the ice has melted in Swanage and the snow has turned to slush in both Winchester & Exeter, so we are open & the teams would love to see you to share stories of snow, ice, adventures & excitement over a warming hot chocolate or two!
Many thanks for your patience and apologies for any inconvenience caused by Swanage & Exeter being shut yesterday - we felt it was the right thing to do all round.
UPDATE FOR FRI MARCH 2nd:
Given the extreme weather conditions that we are facing today, this is an update on the status of each of our Chocolate Houses:
1. Winchester: is OPEN but we have given the team the option to close early if weather conditions deteriorate - so far so good, so you can warm up there with a hot chocolate or coffee today! If you haven't visited us before, we are at the bottom of the High St near Rick Stein's & the Guildhall
2. Swanage: We are closed given the extremely icy conditions that we are experiencing in the town. Sadly, the snow turned to freezing rain last night & the roads & pavements all over town are now an ice rink. We are monitoring the situation closely & hope to open again tomorrow.
3. Exeter: This chocolate house is also closed due to a combination of snow & ice that the city has experienced. Very few shops are open in the city, and everyone has been advised not to travel - not even by foot! Again, we hope that things improve to allow us to open again at some point tomorrow.
Further updates will be posted on our Facebook & Twitter pages.
