Go 100% Plastic-free this Easter...
Chuffed to say that ALL our Easter gifts this year are in 100% plastic-free packaging. We have been working hard to remove the last elements of plastic from all our ranges and, whilst we have achieved that for other seasons including Christmas & Valentine's Day, our previous Easter egg boxes were an exception as they had plastic frontages. Yes the plastic was better than normal as it was made of 70% recycled material, but we felt it was time to say goodbye to it and put our Easter Eggs into plastic-free boxes to join our our Easter bunnies, fun shapes in reusable tubes and foiled eggs already in plastic-free packaging.
So to all those folk who still want to see their Easter egg in its box, sorry - this is the way forward...we think we all have to get better at focusing on what is important (the egg), not on the packaging, which for many brands, is often larger than it needs to be with lots of elements that may or may not recyclable. Our previous egg boxes also had quite a few elements required to hold the egg in place which added to the packaging complexity and no doubt made it harder to work out what to do with the various pieces.
Our new kraft boxes with their simple paper wraps, and with their eggs nestled safely inside in recyclable food safe tissue, are easy to recycle and feel...right. We hope you agree.

PS: While I think of it, you may come across some of our Easter eggs in our old packaging format being sold by Liberty and a few independent retailers - this is because they wanted their stock before our new packaging was finalised and we had some stock to use up from last year.
