This is our Dorset version of this classic flavour combination and is one of our most popular flavours, as well as winning a coveted 2 Star Gold Great Taste Award in 2020!
Proud of our use of local ingredients, we add smoked sea salt from the Dorset Sea Salt Company based on Portland in West Dorset to our fresh caramel. The smoked nature of the sea salt is subtle but just helps to cut through the sweetness of the caramel. Once it has cooled enough, we pipe the caramel into dark chocolate gems and to finish, we hand-decorate the top of each with speckles of naturally coloured cocoa butter.
Chococo's COCOA powered Promise...
This is chocolate for change. Slave-free, palm oil-free, less sugar, directly traded, totally sustainable and utterly equitable, not only is our chocolate officially delicious, it’s choc full of soul too. We don’t believe anyone else can match our COCOA powered promise…
Colourful
We’re a kaleidoscope of flavour and colour. Truly fine chocolates and as the Evening Standard once put it, “each one is like a miniature piece of art”. In 2024, we asked customers to describe our boxes, bars, novelty shapes, brownies and hot chocolate… the most common words were “innovative”, “delicious”, “ethical”, and “fun”.
Original
We’ve been handcrafting in the UK since 2002 and will always do so. We believe we were one of the first, if not the first, UK artisan chocolatier to pioneer making truly fresh chocolates using locally sourced seasonal ingredients. We’re an independent brand and believe that has always helped us produce chocolate with soul.
Conscious
We’re proud to work with our direct trade partners to produce chocolate that adds value to the local economy, is slave-free, palm-oil free, high in cocoa, low in sugar, and completely sustainable. 100% of our packaging is plastic-free and either recyclable or compostable too, and we support sustainability projects across the world.
Open
We strive to make the world of chocolate more open, opening up knowledge on cocoa and sugar, opening up opportunities for our partners, and opening up flavours for our customers with new products at prices that we aim to keep as low as possible, which only change when our supply and labour costs change significantly.
Award-winning
We’ve won 128 national and international fine food awards so far, with 77 Great Taste Awards including in 2023 for our signature milk and dark chocolates. We only enter awards that are blind judged, to benchmark ourselves, learn from the feedback of judges, and use those learnings to constantly improve.
