This 2022 2 Star Gold Great Taste award-winning robust, dark chocolate is crafted from cocoa beans grown in the rich mineral soil of the Bundibugyo region in western Uganda. This area is the heart of the country's cocoa production and is in the foothills of the Rwenzori mountains, near the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. These mountains are hugely fertile with regular rains and a jungle teeming with life...and cocoa! This chocolate is also one of our most popular origins with our chocolate house customers visiting our cafes for a Chococo hot chocolate fix.
We do not add any more sugar, or any other flavourings/powders etc for that matter, to these flakes, so it is a truly pure hot chocolate.
It's very easy to make a hot chocolate Chococo-style. All you have to do is warm a small amount of milk in a pan with the flakes (30g-35g) and once the chocolate has melted into the milk into a smooth paste, add the rest of the milk (200ml) & whisk as it warms. Full instructions on how to make a hot chocolate are on the tin too.
If you want to make a vegan-friendly hot chocolate drink, just use any plant milk and enjoy!
