We love an Egg Hunt with little treats along the way leading to a big prize at the end, if the weather is rubbish, an indoor hunt would entertain just as well!
For smaller prizes, you could try our Easter Shapes and Praline Eggs, or how about decorating hard boiled eggs with the face of a family member. Then build up to the main Easter Egg as a well-deserved reward?
Lastly, don't forget their basket (tupperware works just as well) for collecting treats.
2. Plan the route
Make the most of those sneaky hiding spots around the house and garden… atop the bookcase, amongst the oranges in the fruit bowl, under a plant pot… If your ideal Hunt involves keeping them occupied all weekend, you could include some extra elements: 1. Lay decoy trails to various dead ends to keep them on their toes 2. Add tasks to unlock treats (sing a song, 10 push-ups, do the washing up...that kind of thing)
3. Write some clues
Try using riddles like “I’m stacked with knowledge on every shelf, search the sky to find your wealth” (bookcase) or “where a rainbow of flavours and colours convene, a sweet surprise awaits unseen” (fruit bowl) or "I make it possible to have fresh food. Everyone agrees I'm one cool dude" (fridge)
4. Decorate and play!
We’ve prepared some helpful signs> and some fill in yourself signs you can print to aid (or hinder!) your Egg hunters. All you need to do is click the print icon at the top right of the page.
Don’t forget, you can always re-use these bits after Easter to make them hunt for their car keys or other personal possessions. Enjoy, and we’ll bring you more Easter fun and ideas before the big day!
