To celebrate the cinematic release of 'The Penguin Lessons' film this Easter, we welcomed Juan Salvador the Penguin to the Chococo family. This poignant family film follows an Englishman's personal awakening after he accidentally adopts a penguin in Uruguay (or the penguin adopts him!)
Our Juan is crafted from our 47% award-winning Colombia origin milk chocolate and hand decorated with white cocoa speckles, so he is South American, just a bit further north than Juan Salvador penguin who was rescued from a beach in Uruguay. Juan Salvador is packed with care and popped into plastic free packaging.
As part of our partnership with Lionsgate and 'The Penguin Lessons' film starring Steve Coogan, we were invited to attend the film premiere at the Curzon on Thursday 3rd April in Mayfair, London.
We were lucky enough to be able to meet the man himself and author of the book of this wonderful true story, Tom Michell, and I'm pleased to say he was delighted with our chocolate version of his beloved Juan Salvador!
Juan Salvador the chocolate penguin went on tour from the Dorset countryside, to the big lights of London, down the red carpet, and watched his very own story unfold on the big screen!
It was an unmissable opportunity to get dressed up, meet the stars of the film, walk the red carpet and show off our Juan Salavdor the milk chocolate penguin to London!
We also met our amazing competition winners who won tickets to attend via Instagram - they loved showing off their Chococo Juan Salvador penguin at the premiere!
