The Dorset Food & Drink Awards are now open

After winning Dorset Food & Drink Hero of the year at these awards in 2019, we decided it was time to become a sponsor to help support these awards to recognise and reward the best of Dorset Food & Drink after such an extraordinarily difficult time.

The awards for 2021 are now open for entries and we are delighted to be sponsoring the Food & Drink Innovation category, innovation being very close to our hearts here at Chococo.

This is what Helen Stiles, editor of Dorset magazine has to say about this year's awards:

"Covid-19 continues to have a huge impact on the hospitality industry. So, as we emerge from lockdown in June, it will be more important than ever to support Dorset’s food and drink businesses, and these awards are one of the ways you can show your appreciation. Tell us about the Dorset businesses that have been creative in managing social distancing where you shop, and dine, as well as great customer service. The independent shops that stock a wide range of locally sourced produce, including supporting new producers; the chefs that are proudly celebrating Dorset on their menu, the local food and drink experiences that you are really excited about. The awards will remain open for entries until Sunday 11 July, judging and public vote for each of our categories will follow in August once the awards close for entries. The finalists of the 2021 awards will be announced on Thursday 9 September in the magazine and online, with the awards ceremony taking place on Monday 4 October at Hilton Bournemouth. Please do send in your nominations now, and we look forward to seeing you in October at our celebration of all that’s good about Dorset food and drink."

So if you know a Dorset food or drink producer, retailer, farm shop, chef, restaurant, pub or tearooms or cafe who you think should enter these awards, then you can either nominate them or make sure they check out the Dorset magazine website which has all the information they will need to enter.
