Our Dinosaur Egg wins "Best Surprise" in The Sunday Times Dish magazine

Our Dinosaur Studded Egg was included in a feature in The Dish magazine of the Sunday Times on April 2nd 2017 about the "smorgasbord" of "brilliant Easter eggs out there".....

Each egg featured was "best" at something, and our Dinosaur egg won "Best Surprise"....why? because when you crack open the shell, you will find mini chocolate dinosaurs & ammonites inside!
We first created our Dinosaur eggs about 12 years ago, very early on in the life of Chococo, as we are based on Dorset's Jurassic Coast (which is also a UNESCO World Heritage site), and this egg continues to be one of our annual best sellers, as there is something universally appealing about the delight in finding fossils inside the egg!

This is what The Dish had to say about our egg:
"Budding palaenontologists will love this glossy milk chocolate egg. Made by a company on the Jurassic Coast, it has two chocolate dinosaurs hidden inside" (editor's note: & also ammonites inside too!!).

We make all our eggs by hand in halves here in Dorset. Firstly we create the marbled effect in Madagascan origin dark & Colombian origin white chocolate, then build up several layers inside of 43% Venezuelan origin milk chocolate before studding each half with its dinosaurs & ammonites. Finally, the eggs are stuck together by hand by Dan who is one of our chocolatiers & is expert at sticking the eggs together with very neat edges!
