Announcing the launch of our NEW mugs to hug with a hot chocolate!
Ok, so we are launching these a little later than we originally planned, but such is life! There is still to order one online or pop into our Chocolate Houses to buy one if you fancy these as a Christmas gift.
Our new classic enamel mugs are perfect for taking out on adventures with a thermos of hot chocolate and so we have also included a tube of our raisetrade 70% Madagascar origin dark chocolate flakes for making a delicious hot chocolate too!
These flakes are the same as we serve in all our chocolate houses and is our signature house hot chocolate. It is a Raisetrade chocolate in that it is produced from tree to big bars (for us to flake) in Madagascar by Chocolaterie Robert, so by making a valued added product in the cocoa producing country, they are adding significantly more to the value of the local economy than by exporting dried cocoa beans for the value to be added in Europe.
We love working with Raisetrade chocolate whereever possible and our 100% drinking chocolate buttons are produced in Colombia, so are also Raisetrade.
This 70% chocolate is made with local grand cru de Sambirano fine cocoa beans - Sambirano is the region in the North West of Madagascar where nearly all the country's cocoa plantations are located. It has bright fruity notes and makes a very delicious hot chocolate. In fact, it won "best thick hot chocolate" in an Olive Magazine taste test in November 2019. They loved "this high quality chocolate that these flakes are made from".
It is also soya-free.
You can make your hot chocolate dairy-free and vegan-friendly if you use a plant-based milk to make it, as the chocolate flakes are already naturally dairy-free & vegan-friendly.
Finally, all the packaging for this gift is plastic-free as the mug & tube are wrapped in compostable cornstarch cellophane & is tied with fabric ribbon.
