Our Ocean Eggs are in The Sunday Times
This is the 2nd year that we have partnered with the SeaLife Trust, a marine conservation charity based here in Dorset, to offer 50p from the sale of our Ocean Eggs in our single origin milk or dark chocolate. Each egg is hand-painted with blue 'waves' of naturally coloured spirulina and when broken open reveals mini chocolate turtles and starfish studded to the insides of the shell!
The SEA LIFE Trust is a registered charity (no. 1175859) working globally to protect the world’s oceans and the amazing marine life that lives within them. Their vision is of a world where our seas are healthy, protected and full of diverse life. The SEA LIFE Trust does a diverse array of work to help our oceans, including protecting sea turtles, owning and operating beluga whale, puffin & seal sanctuaries, combating overfishing, reducing ocean litter, running beach cleans and protecting marine life.
We were delighted to open The Sunday Times magazine yesterday to see a review of 'Eggstraordinary eggs for an extraordinay year' on p47 and see our Milk Chocolate Ocean Egg featured amongst the 12 Easter goodies to make you smile. This is what they had to say about our Ocean Egg:
"Crack open this hand-painted egg and you'll find chocolate sea creatures hiding inside. With 50p from each egg going to the SeaLife Trust, that's what you call feelgood chocolate." - we'll take that thought and expand on it - feelgood, tastegood chocolate!
Not only did the Sunday Times take a liking to our Ocean Egg but we then discovered that BBC Good Food Online had also published a review of Easter eggs to send by post and had this to say about not just our Ocean Egg but about us in general:
"Chococo takes Easter eggs to the next level with their unique designs and high-quality chocolate. One of our favourite options is the milk chocolate ocean studded Easter egg (£12.50). The outside is hand-painted with natural colouring, like spirulina, and sprinkled with edible shimmer. Crack it open to reveal fun ocean animals like turtles and starfish made from 45% Venezuela origin milk chocolate. If turtles aren’t your thing, try the fun milk chocolate dinosaur egg (£12.50), studded with dinosaurs and fossils. We also loved the milk chocolate honeycomb egg (£12.50) and the delicious gold chocolate gems egg (£12.50). The packaging for these eggs is completely plastic-free, making it a great sustainable option. Chococo certainly knows how to craft stunning, handmade Easter eggs with innovative designs and flavours.'
Wow!
