Chococo refuels sea swimmers at this year's Lyme Splash with hot chocolates

Co-founders Claire & Andy had fun on Sunday 10th September serving c150 hot chocolates to sea swimmers (including their daughter Lily) taking part in this year's Lyme Splash 3.1km sea swim in Lyme Regis in West Dorset.
The swimmers were supposed to swim from Lyme to Charmouth but the poor weather conditions prevented the crossing, so everyone swam the same distance in circuits closer to shore.

We managed to make each hot chocolate fresh with milk & single origin Madagascar 70% dark chocolate using our new mini portable steam arm in a tent on Lyme Regis beach in increasingly strong winds which was quite a feat! Everyone certainly enjoyed them with some swimmers coming back for seconds which was great to see.

We enjoyed supporting this local event which raised money for local charities and in case you didnt know, hot chocolate made with milk & high cocoa solids dark chocolate is a great recovery food after extreme exercise!
