Who are the Cabinet Rooms?
Two Winchester-based gentlemen who enjoy learning about food and drink and, sometimes, blog about it too. Inspired by their many visits to London, the enigmatic Cabinet War Rooms and the romantic idea of Gentlemen’s Clubs, they decided that they wanted to establish their our own ‘Cabinet’ in Hampshire. Being part of their Cabinet is far removed from the stuffy boardrooms and onerous meetings of politicians and government officials, however. In their Cabinet, they celebrate great food, drink and culture and by following them online or joining them at a CABINET MEETING, you're an honorary member.
The Chocolate Enlightenment Evening in their words:
Chocolate Week runs from 12th to 18th October this year and, of course, we couldn't let it pass without marking it in a special way. We're absolutely delighted to be able to team up with Dorset-based artisan chocolatiers, Chococo, to bring you an evening of chocolate enlightenment. We'll be indulging in chocolate and cocktails to bring you a chocolate experience that's quite different from the norm!
Chocolate expert and co-founder of Chococo, Claire Burnet, will explain the cultivation and processing of cacao before guiding us through a tasting of different chocolates that will showcase the diverse nature of this versatile treat.
And of course, we'll be pairing Claire's selected chocolates with some rather interesting drinks!

How long will the event last?
The event will last approximately 2 hours.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
This event is only open to persons aged 18 years old and over. If you are lucky enough to look under the age of 25, we shall ask you to show ID on the night in order to gain entry to the event.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
As this event involves drinking cocktails and wines, we'd recommend making your way on public transport or by taxi. Chococo is approximately a 15-minute walk from Winchester train station.

Is my registration/ticket transferable?
We are unable to offer transfers or exchanges on the tickets once purchased.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Please bring a printed copy of your ticket to the event or have your ticket ready on your smartphone to show at the door.
What is the refund policy?
Bookings may be cancelled and refunded, subject to a cancellation fee of £4.00 per ticket, up to 1 month prior to the event. Bookings cancelled within 1 month of the event are non-refundable.
We require minimum numbers to run this event. In the unlikely event that we are unable to run your session we will contact you at least 48 hours in advance to arrange a refund.
Do I need to tell you if I have any food allergies?
Our events are centred around food and drink, produced with myriad ingredients and production processes. Please let us know in advance if you have any allergies by emailing [email protected]
