Chococo wins Bronze, Silver & GOLD in the 2016 International Chocolate Awards
Last week the results for the International Chocolate Awards were announced. Chococo's fresh, handmade chocolates impressed the judges and were awarded another 5 gongs - we are delighted with the results of two bronze, two silver and one GOLD!
The Gold winner is our Tawny Fig launched for Christmas last year, this dairy free, figgy delight went down extremely well with our customers & to celebrate the triumph of the Tawny Fig we will be bringing it back for a limited time, Christmas has come early for Chococo customers!
The Silver winners were another one of our new flavours, Arbequina & Sea Salt & our very popular Lemon Zing. Arbequina & Sea Salt was created for Chocolate Week last year, it is a glorious blend of Spanish arbequina olive oil with Cornish smoked sea salt in a 64% Madagascan origin dark chocolate ganache. It also recently won Silver in the Academy of Chocolate Awards 2016.
Lemon Zing won a Gold Great Taste Award in 2015 and is a customer favourite, a 67% Madagascan dark chocolate dome filled with a white chocolate ganache and some of Rebecca's Kitchen fresh lemon curd.
The Bronze winners are a pair of our most popular chocolates, Salt Sweet Smoke & Gingerbread Caramel. Both liquid caramels made with Cornish smoked sea salt and muscovado sugar. Gingerbread Caramel just won Gold at the Academy of Chocolate Awards this year, it's spicy deliciouness is a true taste of Christmas. Salt Sweet Smoke won a 2 Star Gold Great Taste Award in 2015 and Bronze in the 2016 Academy of Chocolate Awards too!
