Handcrafted from our 2023 Gold Great Taste Award winning signature 47% Colombia origin milk chocolate, our Honeycombe Easter Eggs are made in several stages.
Our honeycombe Easter egg is made in several stages. Each egg is made in two halves which we start off by building up layers of milk chocolate in our mould. We let each layer set before adding the next and then stud the inside of each half with big chunks of crunchy, sweet honeycombe. By the way, we make all our honeycombe here at Chococo with local honey from Field Honey Farms based in Swanage in Dorset. All of our eggs are hand decorated with natural colours by our wonderful artist Jacqui.
Here is a little snippet from The Independent in 2022. We were awarded Best Luxury Easter Egg & Best Buy for our giant version of this egg, "Your recipient won’t stop talking about it, as we haven’t been able to either. It’s good-quality chocolate, with a generous amount of honeycombe and a really fun design. We also love that the delivery was free from plastic. It gets a big tick from us."
Each of our Easter Eggs is packaged in 100% plastic-free cardboard packaging, which is recyclable.

In 2024, we asked customers to describe our boxes, bars, novelty shapes, brownies and hot chocolate… the most common words were “innovative”, “delicious”, “ethical”, and “fun”.

We’ve been handcrafting in the UK since 2002 and will always do so. We believe we were one of the first, if not the first, UK artisan chocolatier to pioneer making truly fresh chocolates using locally sourced seasonal ingredients. We’re an independent brand and believe that has always helped us produce chocolate with soul.

We’re proud to work with our direct trade partners to produce chocolate that adds value to the local economy, is slave-free, palm-oil free, high in cocoa, low in sugar, and completely sustainable. 100% of our packaging is plastic-free and either recyclable or compostable too, and we support sustainability projects across the world.

We’ve won 128 national and international fine food awards so far, with 77 Great Taste Awards including in 2023 for our signature milk and dark chocolates. We only enter awards that are blind judged, to benchmark ourselves, learn from the feedback of judges, and use those learnings to constantly improve.
Ingredients: Colombia origin milk chocolate 90% (cocoa butter, sugar, milk powder, cocoa mass, sunflower lecithin, vanilla extract), honeycombe 10% (sugar, glucose syrup, Dorset honey, bicarbonate of soda), natural colours (cocoa butter, calcium carbonate, safflower, lemon). Milk chocolate contains 47% (min) cocoa solids, 23% milk solids.
Allergy Advice: See allergens in bold. Handcrafted in our Dorset chocolate kitchen where we also handle gluten, tree nuts & soya so may contain traces. Suitable for vegetarians.
