Our Day of the Dead & Halloween Collection is now online to order

For all those early birds out there, just to let you know that our Day of the Dead & Halloween gifts collection is now online available to pre-order for delivery from the end of September.

These items will be going into our Chocolate Houses w/c 23rd September too, so you will be able to buy them instore from the end of next week.

This year, we have taken inspiration from the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo and have decorated our skull bars with both flavoured & coloured chocolate flowers. Our hollow skulls are now both real characters - Pedro, our new milk chocolate skull (in the photo to the left) has quite a cheeky look about him & Tita, our coloured skull has fruity Ruby chocolate rose eyes!

It is the first time that we have incorporated Ruby & Gold (Caramelised white chocolate) into our Day of the Dead gifts and we hope you enjoy the resulting different taste experiences as a result.

We think the Day of the Dead festival is a much more life affirming festival to celebrate than Halloween to be honest (although we have kept our spider-filled pumpkins in our 2019 Collection) as it is all about celebrating & remembering your ancestors. Celebrated in many central American countres, and especially Mexico, families gather to remember their loved ones from October 31st to November 2nd and it is a wonderfully colourful event. Homes & graves are decorated with marigolds, paper bunting (known as papel picado decorated with skeletons (often dancing or riding bicycles!) - look out for it in our Chocolate Houses from mid October), colourful sugar skulls and special foods included breads and of course, hot chocolate! Hot chocolate is traditionally drunk at graves of loved ones and is a core part of day of the dead celebrations.

We are also offering special selection boxes filled with suitably Autumnal flavours to enjoy over the Halloween & Day of the Dead festival which are available to order now for delivery later in October.
