Lavender
We are delighted to be working with the team at Long Barn Lavender near Winchester in neighbouring Hampshire. They grow all their lavender & make a wide variety of lavender based products, including a rather delicious apple & lavender jelly which we incorporate into our fresh Apple Dilly milk chocolate.
Somerset Cider Brandy
Our newest relationship is with the folks at the Somerset Cider Brandy Company, whose Somerset Royal three year old Cider Brandy is blended into our latest fresh chocolate creation, Cider with Fifi.
Fifi & Josephine are the copper stills used to make the cider brandies and can be viewed at the distillery at Burrow Hill near Martock in Somerset.
Fresh Cream
Our cream comes fresh from Trevor Craig's family-run dairy farm near Weymouth. He is the only dairy farmer left in South Dorset selling fresh cream to the local market. His herd of 120 Freshires & Ayreshires is not organic but it is low density and his cream is wonderfully rich, thick and yellow!

Butter
We use butter from Denhay Farms in Bridport, West Dorset in Granny's tablet & our popular Purbeck Marble Cake. Denhay is a well established Dorset business making cheese & butter from its cows and award-winning bacons & hams (not that we use those!)
Honey
Our honey comes from award-winning local Swanage beekeeper Robert Field, aka Bob. Bob has hives all over Dorset & into Wiltshire and we use his wonderful Bell Heather honey from the Arne Peninsular here in Purbeck. We also sell several of his honeys in our factory shop.
Lemon Curd & Fruit Jellies
Sue & Kim of Peasant Products, members of the Purbeck Producers Co-operative, are now making our lemon curd & other Autumn fruit jellies for us, as Mrs Pook has retired from jam making. We are delighted to be working with Sue & Kim as they are here on our doorstep and are passionate about working with local & seasonal fruits. They make our Autumn fruit jellies, including elderberry, blackberry & sloe, for us from local wild hedgerow fruits and our lemon curd is made with unwaxed lemons, fairtrade sugar, local butter & free range eggs from Norden farm (near Corfe Castle).
Direct from Dorset

We are full members of Direct from Dorset, an origin assurance scheme run by Dorset County Council to give consumers the confidence that they are indeed buying products sourced from & made in Dorset.
To display the logo we have been inspected by Trading Standards & have met the criteria covering the business, sourcing of ingredients & processing. Amongst other benefits, this scheme also helps supports local businesses, keeps money in the local economy & promotes local employment.
We are delighted to have a number of our fresh chocolates & other goodies listed for our membership, including Bob’s Bees (with Purbeck honey), Lemon Zing (with Mrs Pook’s lemon curd), Pure Kakawa truffle (with Trevor’s fresh cream), Purbeck Marble Cake (with Denhay Butter) & Granny’s Tablet (with Denhay Butter & local milk). Further, all our fresh truffles & chocolates with a fresh cream ganache contain Trevor’s fresh cream.
We are also associate members of the scheme as we sell Robert’s honey & Purbeck ice-cream here in our shop in Swanage.
