The Very Best Easter Chocolate: Chococo mini duck eggs - This kaleidoscopic new design is typical of Claire and Andy Burnet's beautiful handmade wares. Made with marbled Venezuelan milk and white chocolate, each egg hides a little duck."
Sunday Telegraph Stella Magazine - March 10
"Britain's new chocolatiers are fascinating on the complexities of their art. In Swanage, Dorset, Claire Burnet of Chococo juggles sourcing chocolate from Venezuelan family-run farm co-ops made with local sugar, with passionate artistry. She then combs her local countryside for other ingredients.
"I want to know everything about the chocolate I make. We use fresh cream from Craig's Farm Dairy, and the honey for our honeycomb eggs comes from Purbeck beekeeper Robert Field", she says.
Rose Prince - Daily Telegraph 27th March 10

"If in the Foodhall at Harvey Nichols look out for the very pink, and very heart-shaped, lollipops from the Purbeck Chocolate Company. They are made from Venezuelan chocolate and dried raspberries and despite their modest price tag, they are suitably self-indulgent.
London Evening Standard Charles Campion - Feb 11th '10
“The milk chocolate is a rich 41% Venezuelan, and the honeycombe is made from real Dorset honey. It tastes just how you’d expect. Like a really high quality Cadbury Crunchie. Except of course you get more of that gorgeous smooth milk chocolate, and less of the honeycombe. One of the things I like best about this is that the placement of the chunks is random, so each mouthful is slightly different. Occasionally you’ll just get that wonderful chocolate, and sometimes you get a mouth full of crunch instead”.
Chocablog online review – Feb 11th ‘10
"I can’t recommend these chocolates highly enough. The flavour combinations work exceptionally well, the presentation is top notch and the ingredients are so fresh that Chococo won’t even send these out until February 10th. So you can be sure your gift will still be in perfect condition for the 14th.
Without doubt, this is my pick of this year’s Valentine’s offerings so far."
Chocablog online review - Feb 8th '10
"Chocolates from this artisan team consistently impress and the only problem is fighting your loved ones for your favourites. All that is resolved with this clever collection of six romantically themed flavours including raspberry truffles and dulce de leche "kisses", meaning you can focus on the one you love. Keep the love alive as demolish the cherub-encrusted chocolate heart made from ethically sourced Venezuelan carenero beans."
